This cannot be all there is to Life
The first 34 years of my life was without a god of any sort. I had no idea that there even was a god, why was it that I went so long with no concern to ask for help?
Here I am once again waking up on the cold hard concrete floor of my county jail, with one eye open I see where I had written my name on the wall.
I closed my eyes hard and opened the other eye, to see a pamphlet that said seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. I lived by sight all these years but never seen these words before now. I was released from jail, O R out, I was free so I thought, but I could not escape the words I read with the other eye open. I just realized that I was living in two different dimensions, those words were in in my head playing in a nonstop loop. Nothing was working to at least pause this grasp I was in. What was I to do? Sleep was my only relief, but eventually, everyone has to wake up right. It was time for me to put this God and his kingdom to the test, what do I know about god, absolutely nothing. So I start walking in no particular direction, without money, food or a change of clothes. My reasoning was that if there were this god and kingdom he would provide all that I need, sure enough, a ride was provided, I was 250 miles north of where I started walking, dropped off at front door of shelter just in time to be served a hot meal, worship service hot shower change of clothes and a bed to rest, as I laid there I noticed the loop had stopped finally, I was thankful. to be continued.

In the morning only a quick thought of, seek ye first the Kingdom of God. I was once again walking in a direction without a map, of where I should be heading, only the prompt of intuition.
As I walked I began to realize, that I was being cared for with provisions, and clothing, but I was also holding onto luck and coincidence, not yet sure of this being part of God’s existence. I am now heading south toward the Gulf. I stood on the on-ramp and my ride showed up. A salesman that took me to Interstate 10, we talked about jobs, but God never entered the conversations as we traveled. We departed at Lake Charles, that was an eight-hour ride that ended at another shelter, he thanked me for the company and drove away.
At the shelter, I showered. changed in to clean clothes, ate some food and church that had a hellfire and brimstone depiction. Before lights out, I wondered what kind of God would include hellfire and brimstone in His Kingdom?
At breakfast, a person sat across from me and began a conversation, you know questions like where are you from and which direction are you headed. I was hesitant in telling him that I was seeking King Dome of GOD. By the look on his face, he was not sure if I was joking or not, with a sober expression he introduced himself and told me he was headed east.
Just be for he left the table he handed me a paper, I stashed it in my shirt pocket without looking.
When our prayers don’t get answered we start to question a lot of things. But the story of the Canaanite woman from the New Testament teaches us that there is only one thing that God expects from us.
When I struggle with my faith, and it seems like my prayers aren’t being answered, I often start to wonder what is causing the problem. Could it be that I’m not good enough? Should I have spent more time reading my Bible? Going to church? On my knees? But when I look at the story of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:21-28 I see that there is only one answer.
When we read the story we see that she came to Jesus and cried out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.” (Matthew 15:22) But Jesus completely ignored her. It seemed that no matter what happened, no matter what Jesus did, she was determined to see her daughter healed.
It finally got to the point that the disciples begged Jesus to send her away. Jesus finally said to her that He had been sent to the lost sheep of Israel, and that, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” (Matthew 15:26)
If you think about it, that’s a pretty rude thing to say, and it is definitely not politically correct. Had Jesus done this in our day and age the news media would have had a field day. I can see the headline now: Jewish Rabbi Calls Women Dogs! But nothing that Jesus said was going to stop her. She looked at Jesus and replied, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” When Jesus answered her, He said something that He only says twice in the Gospels; he told her that her faith was great.
With all that I often worry about, and the times that I question my faith in God, this story tells me that there is only one thing that I need to have in order for my prayers to be answered: Faith.
This woman wasn’t even a child of God, but Jesus didn’t expect her to repent of her sins and convert to Judaism. All He expected was that she have faith. The kind of faith that could withstand what seemed like rude and unloving behavior.
When I look at my prayer life I have to ask: What kind of faith do I have? Do I have the kind of faith that God expects me to have? Is my faith the kind that will withstand whatever is thrown at it and still remain steadfast?I find it interesting that when Peter got out of the boat and walked on water, that Jesus accused him of having “little faith.” The rest of the disciples sat in the boat, Peter was the only one that had enough faith to walk on the water. But Jesus loved him enough to point out that he had let his doubts stop him (Matthew 14:31). When he focused his attention on the wind and the waves, he had allowed his doubts to win the battle in his mind and his faith had faltered.
If a woman who only deserved the crumbs that fell from the masters’ table could get her prayers answered because of her steadfast faith, what does that mean to God’s children who are seated at His table? It means that we should never doubt God’s love and provision for us. He will always answer our prayers and all that He expects from us is that we have faith, the kind of faith that never quits.

Miracles are all around us in daily life, if you choose to seek them out. However, in order to find them you have to look first at what it is that you are doing every moment of every day, all the time: the manifestation process.
Are miracles the norm in your life? If not, let’s look at that for a moment.
We have to look first at what it is that we are doing every moment of every day, all the time: we are manifesting.
That’s right. We are creating our world all around us, all the time. You may think this is crazy talk, but just read up on some of the quantum physicist’s writings the last twenty years and you’ll discover that there is a ton of evidence that says that with our consciousness, our minds, and the power we have within us, we bring what is floating around in the Universe as potential, and focus it into becoming reality each moment.
If you haven’t seen the move, “What the BLEEP Do We Know?” yet, well, you’re missing out on the greatest power imaginable — the power to create that you have, right now.
Even if you don’t believe this idea, you have to at least admit that we are creating our lives through our reactions and responses to what shows up in our lives. If we can start with that premise, than we can go somewhere together today.
So what are miracles, and why aren’t you seeing more of them each day?The best definition I can come up with for the word “miracle” comes from the dictionary: A person, thing or event that inspires admiring awe.
Awe. That’s the key word for me. When events happen through serendipity, they take my breath away because they are so awe-inspiring.
Here’s one: I recently had a person come out of the blue to me and say, “I really love your work, your writing, and the spirit behind what you’re doing. I’d like to become your marketing director for your seminars, ebooks, and keynote speeches, and do so on a direct percentage basis. You only pay me if I prove myself valuable to you.”
Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s a miracle in my book!I believe that the more we look to see these miracles, the more they happen.
And the more they happen, the more we’ll see them.
It all starts with intention. What is your intention regarding miracles in your life? Here’s a test for the reality of your intention about miracles, if you can’t figure out the answer to the question above. What do you tell people when they ask you, “How’s it going?”
If you find yourself giving one of these types of responses:
“Not bad, but there’s some yucky stuff going on, and let me tell you about it…”
“Good. Well, pretty good. Actually, not so good.”
Or any response that leads you into a story of woe…
Then your focus is on something other than miracles in your life. And the more we focus on something other than miracles in our life, the more we get something other than miracles in our life. Pretty simple formula, actually.
Is this for real, this idea of the more we focus, the more what we’re focusing on shows up?It’s the essence of the quantum physicists’ idea: focus of consciousness brings energy into reality.
How about a simple test? Try this: bring a picture to mind of something in life: could be an apple, or a cat, or clouds, or someone you love and care about. Hold that thought for a minute, feeling the feelings that come with it.
Now, set the intention that you will come across the manifestation of this picture sometime soon. Then let the picture go from your consciousness.
Over the next day or so, keep an eye out for when, and if, your focused item shows up for you in your life. It happens to me all the time. From new clients to favorite food, from money to a hug, when I focus on something now it shows up, sometimes within minutes, sometimes a day or so later.
Coincidence, you say? Maybe. But what fun is that to believe in??!!I encourage you to look for miracles. Seek them out. And if you get an attitude reading this short article on miracles, and say to yourself, “Bah, humbug”, and check that attitude at the door.
Does that attitude make your life better? Nope? So leave it behind!Search out those miracles in your life. They’re there. Trust me, just this once. The more you’ll look for them, the more they’ll begin showing up.
